Join global experts in marine robotics at AUV2026, the flagship IEEE and Oceanic Engineering Society symposium on autonomous underwater vehicles. The event will feature cutting-edge research, industry insights, and a special issue of the IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering. 

Every two years, the IEEE OES AUV Symposium brings the marine robotics community together to share ideas, exchange lessons learned and foster future research and collaboration.

The focus is on the technologies and applications of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), autonomous surface vessels (ASVs), underwater gliders, and Lagrangian floats, with most papers centered on field robotics or data collected from real-world deployments.

AUV2026 with be held in Southampton, UK between 1st-3rd September 2026. In addition to standard symposium papers, open access peer-reviewed papers will also be published as an IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering Special Issue and presented at the symposium.
