Ship design is entering a period of rapid digital transformation, with artificial intelligence increasingly being explored as a tool to support creativity, accelerate engineering processes and improve decision-making. From concept generation and optimisation through to structural assessment and performance prediction, AI has the potential to change how naval architects approach the early stages of vessel design.

This webinar, AI-Assisted Ship Design, will examine how emerging AI technologies are being applied to one of the maritime sector’s most complex engineering challenges. Using Nay Min Htein’s research as a starting point, we will explore how artificial intelligence can support the generation of ship hull forms, automate elements of structural design and help engineers evaluate design options more efficiently.

AI-Assisted Ship Design; 27th November 2026, 12.00-13.00 online.
