Maritime UK Solent is inviting maritime businesses and innovators across the region to a unique opportunity to propel their decarbonisation projects forward through the national Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition Round Six (CMDC6).

A briefing session on CMDC6 will be held on 13th February 2025 at Southampton Solent University, from 9.30am to 13.30. It will feature speakers from the Department for Transport (DfT) and Innovate UK, who will provide valuable insights into the competition’s objectives, criteria, and application process. Attendees will have the chance to engage directly with the competition organisers and ask questions, making it an essential event for anyone interested in maritime decarbonisation.

The CMDC is designed to support clean maritime technologies and provides grant funding for organisations to research and develop innovations. The programme is run in partnership with Innovate UK. The application window will close on 16th April 2025.

This event will be an opportunity to:

• Gain insights into the latest funding opportunities and support available for maritime innovation.
• Network with industry, policymakers and innovators.
• Explore potential collaborations and partnerships to drive sustainable maritime solutions.
• Understand how you can contribute to the UK’s net-zero goals.

There will be plenty of time for networking with other businesses and organisations to discuss potential project collaborations.  In the past, successful project collaborations have formed at these sessions.

This event is free to attend. For more information and to register for this event please click here.
