Sea Change Project Milestones reached

A major milestone has been achieved in the Sea Change project, which has designed and built a shore power system across the three busiest berths at Portsmouth International Port. The project, of which MSE International is a partner, will enable visiting ferries (including the two new Brittany LNG ferries) and cruise ships to turn off their engines when in the port area as they will be able to 'plug-in' and use green electricity to run their onboard systems when alongside.
Recently all six fixed Cable Management Systems (CMS), which connect to the hybrid Brittany Ferries have been installed and commissioned, a major achievement by all the contractors.
In addition the three connection boxes which accomodate and connect the CRU-500 Cable Management Systems for Cruises have been installed and ready to be commissioned.
