PINS project partner Cenex publishes Marine Electrification Insights paper

Cenex, one of the partners in the MSE International led PINS Project, has published a' Marine Electrification Insights' paper, which is available to download for free.
As demand for cleaner transport grows, marine electrification is helping ports and vessels move towards a more sustainable future.
The PINS (Port Infrastructure using Novel energy Storage) project explored scalable and smart recharging systems for vessels, integrating advanced battery technologies and energy management to overcome grid constraints and cost barriers.
Cenex explored how ports and harbours can prepare for the future of maritime decarbonisation through electric charging infrastructure for marine vessels. Based on future deployment scenarios, taylored charging recommendations were developed for Portsmouth International Port, Falmouth Harbour and Cowes Harbour, taking into account the physical, operational, electrical, and financial factors involved in installing marine charging infrastructure.
