On 13th October, members of Portsmouth City Council passed a motion to pause and rethink the Tipner West project to ensure value for money is achieved, the environment is protected, and the maximum levels of affordable housing are delivered. A status report on Tipner West will be compiled by the council's strategic developments team for December's full council meeting. You can see more details on the Lennox Point website: www.lennoxpoint.com/project-update/

As such, for the moment further engagement with the potential supplier, investor market and marine sector is also paused. Dialogue is envisaged to start up again once the way forward is made clear from council members.

The project team is looking forward to sharing its report in December, answering councillors' questions about the opportunities and constraints of Tipner West, how the Lennox Point proposals seek to maximise the opportunities for Portsmouth.

If you have any questions about the project, the decision taken by councillors and the report, you can contact the project team at buisness@lennoxpoint.com. We will provide a further update on next steps for the project as soon as possible.
